Self-awareness has emerged as a key focus for managers and leaders as organizations face increasing complexity, disruptive change, and heightened expectations for performance and engagement.
Self-awareness is the capacity to notice what is happening within you and around you so you can choose your response rather than being driven by automatic reactions.
Why it Matters?
Studies show that individuals who understand themselves well tend to have higher confidence and creativity. They are able to make wiser choices, foster deeper relationships, and express themselves more clearly. Self-aware people are also less prone to unethical behaviour such as dishonesty or misconduct. In the workplace, they are typically more productive, earn more promotions, and excel as leaders—contributing to happier teams and more successful organisations.
